I will not be going back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone else.Įnigma was definitely a letdown compared to other similarly priced offerings downtown, like Sabatino's right down the street. Additionally, while they were standing they were discussing customers loudly enough for us to hear and one worker was discussing their bowel movements while several people were eating. It took a couple attempts for us to even flag them down to ask for our check. The entire time we sat at the bar, the wait staff was present but continuously walked by ignoring us. The food was incredibly disappointing and overpriced for the quality. We ordered an appetizer that was brought out at the same time as our food. After placing our order, we received almost no help. We were helped right away, but the soda was flat and watered down. He told us the only open seats were at the bar, so we sat at the bar. We ended up asking a young worker where we could sit. We were asked to wait to be seated when we entered, but no one ever came to seat us. Unfortunately, I was let down by several aspects of the facility. I was super excited to try Press Start because I have heard how fun arcade bars/restaurants can be. Overall it wasn’t a terrible experience but definitely not the best that I’ve had at a Texas Roadhouse. Our waitress rarely checked on us and we had to go to the bar to request a refill on our soda. Some of the meals didn’t come out the way we had ordered them like some steaks weren’t cooked to our request. She forgot a couple things that we had requested, like a kids sprite and a spoon. Our waitress was fairly quiet and seemed like she had a personal matter going on and didn’t want to be at work. We requested to move and were told that it depended on table availability but were able to switch tables quickly. Needless to say it was extremely difficult getting situated with five adults and two babies, one of which we requested a high chair for and they gave us a booster seat because they couldn’t put a high chair at the end of the table.

When we were initially sat, they crammed us into a booth next to a booth full of people with a table at the end. The wait was pretty long, but it was a Saturday night.

If you offered military discount the bill would make more sense for the food we got, so owner: consider it harder! Lots of military folk around here!! We asked her if they offered military discount and she said that management was “considering it”. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful, but these prices were very pretentious for what it really is.

cadillac nachos w/ chicken: pretty good, the only thing that has a substantial amount of flavor horchata: pretty good, could use more flavor (less water mixed in) pretty small in size for the price carne asada tacos: meat was a little flavorless and tough, the limes that came with it were dry. salsa: subpar, good amount of spice, tortilla chips were a bit stale I understand there’s not much diversity in Rapid City, so it’s hard to come by food like this-but 16$ for two tacos? Never have I ever seen an authentic Mexican dish make such a jump (even including the rice and beans).
